I'll Stand

Here's a song of worship I wrote. My friend is amazing for inspiring this lovely drawing. :)
After a night of praying for the New Year ahead I feel so empowered to Stand for my faith this year and that is my prayer; that I may stand despite what others say or the fear that tries to grab me. God is mighty and I worship Him this New Year.

People Saying
Their running out of fire
But my God's giving
The strength that we desire
To stand strong...

We struggle with fear
But God, He holds this world
And with that appears
A heart for those to love
Always, always, always
Always, always, always

[Chorus]
So I'll stand
I'll stand in awe of You
And I'll dance
For the things you do
And I'll worship You
I'll worship You
I'll worship You
I'll worship You

Our time means everything
So lets reach out past ourselves
Share the truth
With those who need some care

I will live
Running this race
I will go
Farther than I know
I will breathe
My every breathe for you
Till my heart stops beating...

I will live
Running this race
I will go
Farther than I know
I will breathe
My every breathe for you
Always, always, always
Always, always, always

[Chorus]
So I'll stand
I'll stand in awe of You
And I'll dance
For the things you do
And I'll worship You
I'll worship You
I'll worship You
I'll worship You

In the Stillness of the Night

One verse popped out to me this night
"Be still and know that I am God...." Psalm 46:10

just a thought...
As I listen to the rain, I am reminded of how small I am, like one raindrop in a sea of many....so many you cannot count. But if you sit still long enough you don't just pass by the rain but hear each individual raindrop fall. If you listen to the sea, you don't just hear one tiny drop of water roar, but an army of them. If you sit still you get a far greater image of what is going on around you. So I sit still and I realize how great my God is. He hears each individual voice cry out to Him. He's sees the greater picture when we can only see the small. Be still and wait on the Lord, for He hears you.

Joy To The World

Many times we look inside
Find ways to be fulfilled
We try so hard to satisfy
Our longing and our will
Happiness is what we seek
And can be found on every corner
A relationship, the ultimate gift,
Or the clothes behind our dresser
But Joy, true joy is found alone
By something you cannot grasp
It's not found inside but with open eyes
On heaven's blessing sent
A King who saves
A King who reigns
A King who is to come
So instead of seeking happiness
Lets seek Joy in God's Holy Son

May joy be with you this coming year :)

The Start of Something New

For years I have wanted to start a blog. I’m not quite sure what brought on this desire, but I think the inspiration from the fashion and photography blogs I once read on a day-to-day basis sparked the idea. It seems that those who keep up with a blog are reminded each day of their passion and inspired more to seek after and share with the world what they love. For some it is fashion, cooking, politics, business, or whatever one can imagine. For me, my inspiration comes from my King, thus the title, King of All Days. He is the King that we celebrate this Christmas season. He is the King of all Kings, the King of all people, and the King of all days. He is the King of yesterday, today, and forevermore.
I never really believed much in New Year’s resolutions and when I did, they never really worked for me. But this year, I believe once again that my New Year’s resolution might stand a chance to the 365 days ahead. So… My goal is to read through the bible in a year. It doesn’t seem so hard right? Well, I tried last year and only made it to February. I know, it’s pretty sad. But this year, I am a senior in high school seeking as many distractions from school as I can get. As much as school is important to me, keeping God first in my life is of most importance. I will journal my thoughts, inspiration, advice, and whatever else I can think of as I go through the bible and as I go through life each day. Jesus Christ will be the King of my days, all the way from Genesis to Revelation.
