Prayer

My prayer list this year:

  1. Actions reflecting what I believe
  2. God not granting my desires, but what I should desire
  3. Caring more for God's grief than my own
  4. God would continue to show me His character
  5. Consistency in my walk with God
  6. Not my will, but His be done
  7. Encouragement to empower others in their walk
  8. That this year would not be easy
  9. I would find Joy far greater than momentary happiness
  10. Fear of the Lord
  11. Never settling for enough
  12. Boldness

    Lovely list. I'd like to know what you mean by #8... such a intriguing thing to pray!

    It's funny, I never would have thought of myself praying for something like that. I've began to trust however, that God uses the tough moments in our lives to shape us into the people we are and that's why I pray this prayer. When times are too easy, I find myself less dependent on God and more dependent on myself... I know it might seem strange and may not be for everyone to pray but I think God has really blessed me through the difficult times. For instance, boldness, which I am really trying to strive for this year probably wont come unless I continually get out of my comfort zone. Thanks for the comment.
